Privacy Policy

DemandSense Analytics (the "portal") at analytics.demandsensemedia.com is operated by Demand Sense Media ("we", "us"). It is a private reporting portal for our clients: it shows each client the performance of their own websites and marketing accounts. This policy explains what data the portal handles and how.
Who can use the portal
The portal is not open to the public. Accounts are created by Demand Sense Media for our staff and for people at client companies. Each client user can see only their own company's data.
Data from marketing platforms
With each client's authorization, the portal reads reporting data from the accounts the client connects, which may include Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SE Ranking and HubSpot. Access is read-only: the portal never creates, changes or deletes anything in those accounts, and it never changes ad campaigns, budgets or bids.
What we store is aggregate performance reporting, such as daily impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, sessions, search rankings, and counts of form submissions or new contacts, along with the names and URLs of campaigns, pages and forms. We do not read or store the contents of form submissions or the personal details of our clients' customers or contacts.
Access to Google accounts uses a Google service account that the client adds as a user of their own account. A client can remove that access at any time from their Google account settings, and the portal stops pulling new data from it.
Data about portal users
For each portal account we store a name, email address, a securely hashed password (never the password itself), the account's role and company, and when it last signed in. We keep a log of administrative changes (for example, who added a user or a data source) for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
The portal uses a cookie only to keep you signed in, and stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. It uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use data
We use this data only to provide reports to the client it belongs to and to deliver our marketing services to that client. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use one client's data for another client.
Where data is stored and who processes it
The portal is hosted on Vercel, data is stored in a Neon Postgres database, and scheduled data pulls run on GitHub Actions. Transactional email (such as alerts or password resets) may be sent through an email provider. These providers process data on our behalf to run the portal. Data is encrypted in transit, and account credentials that clients provide for a platform (such as a HubSpot key) are stored encrypted.
Retention and deletion
We keep reporting data while a client works with us, so they can compare performance over time. When a client relationship ends, or when a client asks, we delete that client's data and user accounts from the portal. Removing the portal's access in a connected platform stops future pulls immediately.
Your choices
Portal users can ask us to update or delete their account. Clients can ask for a copy of their data or for it to be deleted.
